What a treat I have for you today! I simply cannot wait to share the blurb for Side Effects with you in this month’s blog, but first let’s take a look at the comparison chart of my two novels!

You can see by the pink commonalities that the two novels have some fundamentals in common, but when we contrast the works, the blue differences definitely outnumber the similarities!
My first novel is a young adult novel, but is deeply appreciated by the adult audience as well. My second novel’s characters are middle-aged adults, but the content is still very much appropriate for the young/new adult audience. Essentially, both novels can be enjoyed by readers of all ages (13+)!
While Through Quick and Quinn does include approximately 30 uses of the words d*mn and h*ll, Side Effects is a completely clean novel. Other differences include the themes and topics addressed in each. However, the overarching aspect is that both books fall under the genre of literary fiction. Even though the two works tackle different contemporary issues, the truth remains that I like to write with a mission in mind: To raise awareness and spark uncomfortable conversations.
Did I miss anything? Do you have any burning questions? I’d love to hear from you. Email me and we can absolutely have a conversation about either or both of these books!
Okay, let’s switch gears…
You’ve seen the cover.

You’ve met the couple.

And now here is the blurb:
After twenty years of nurturing their marriage through mutual respect, humorous banter, and honest communication, Lila and David tackle all of life’s trials and setbacks as a seamless unit. Despite their differences, their bond is unshakeable.
Or at least it was.
When chaos strikes, shocking news rocks their foundation to the core and puts unbelievable new strain on their relationship. Tremendous pressure and unthinkable consequences leave Lila and David on opposing sides of an unforgiving fence.
With their fundamental beliefs under a microscope, Lila and David are faced with a new reality: Someone must bend, or the life they’ve worked so hard to build will crumble.
Will Lila and David’s marriage withstand the impact of shifting mindsets? Or will the aftershock leave them both devastated?
In a gripping novel that pits the fortitude of true love against modern family struggles and societal psychological warfare, Sherlock once again says the quiet parts out loud.
